    Course Content:

     

    • Overview of Biorhythms and Respiratory Mechanisms: Students will be introduced to the respiratory mechanism of mealworms and the basic principles of biorhythms.
    • Application of Biotechnology: Students will explore how the study of biorhythms and respiratory rates can be applied to a wider range of biotechnology fields, such as ecological monitoring and biological adaptability research. Students will be encouraged to think about how to apply these principles to solve real-world problems and stimulate their thinking in the field of biotechnology.
    • Experimental Design and Hands-on Operation: Students will be guided to design controlled experiments with controlled variables to measure the respiratory rate of mealworms by setting different environmental conditions. Students will personally operate environmental indicator measuring instruments to measure the respiratory rate of mealworms under different conditions.
    • Data Processing and Visualization: Students will convert the data obtained from the experiment into concrete points and use scientific drawing tools to draw a curve chart showing the changes in respiratory rate with environmental variables. Through this data visualization process, students will be able to clearly see the trend of changes in the respiratory rate of mealworms under different environmental conditions.
